Neurological Physiotherapy is a subspeciality area of physiotherapy focused on the treatment of individuals with neurological conditions. Neurological disorders affect the functioning of the brain, spinal cord, and nerves. Stroke, Multiple Sclerosis (MS), long Covid, ME, Spinal Cord Injury and Parkinson’s are common neurological conditions. It also includes conditions of the peripheral nervous system such as Guillain Barre Syndrome.
Aquatic Therapy (Hydrotherapy)
Aquatic Physiotherapy is a form of physiotherapy conducted in a heated pool, where the properties and benefits of water are utilized with the knowledge and skill of the physiotherapist to improve the outcome of the rehabilitation process.
Paediatric physiotherapists are specialists in the assessment, identification, diagnosis and treatment of disorders of movement. They treat children in the areas of orthopaedics, congenital malformations and neurology. This includes developmental delay, cerebral palsy and neuromotor problems.
Post Operative Rehab
After surgery and through your recovery, a physiotherapist will assess your mobility, strength and function. According to the different phases of healing, your progress and goals, the physiotherapy will prepare a rehabilitation exercise program.
Physiotherapy treatment is an effective option for a range of problems from neck, lower back and other joint pain to post-operative care and sporting injuries. A skilful assessment, diagnosis and treatment plan will help give you the confidence you need to regain health, and return to normal activity.
